"The object of the club is to provide facilities which promote and
encourage participation and skill in the handling and recreational
use of firearms and to promote the study and use of heritage
firearms."
With this statement in mind, the club
has made an application to the Secretary of State for the
authorisation of the 1066 Rifle & Pistol Club as a designated
place for the storage, study and shooting of heritage pistols
within the meaning of the Firearms Act 1997.
This is a long and complicated process
and this page will be updated when any information regarding our
application is received from the Home Office.
